Known as the Certificate of Occupancy or simply Occupancy Permit, it guarantees that your newly-constructed building conforms to the applied building laws. As an occupant, this assures you (or your tenants if you’re on the business side) that you’ll have a comfortable stay.
A quick visit to the Building and Public Safety & Electrical Division and the Office of the Building Official of the Local Government of Puerto Princesa gave us a glimpse of the process of applying for an Occupancy Permit. Here are the requirements we found:
- Photocopy of the approved Building Permit
- Photocopy of the approved Electrical Permit
- Approved Building Plans
- If needed, approved As-Built Building Plans
- Approved Const. Logbook Signed & Sealed by PE
- Certificate of Completion (Civil Works)
- Certificate of Final Electrical Inspection / Completion
- Photocopy of the Application for Locational Clearance
- Photocopy of Certificate of Zoning Conformance
- Pictures (Left, Right, Front, Back, & Inside)
- Fire Safety Checklist and Fire Safety Evaluation Clearance
